Packaging

Valuable packages We love packaging. The three-dimensional aspect adds an exciting and challenging element to the design process. At Brown Ink Design we have an intimate knowledge of the printing processes and packaging requirements needed to make your product jump off the shelves.

Goldfields Farmhouse

Goldfields Farmhouse wanted a contemporary look without dismissing their traditional roots. The labels were their main communication tool when it came to expressing the quality of their product. With nine cheese varieties, the choice of colour for each variety became a balancing act. The end result was pleasing and all design objectives were met and surpassed.

Clinkables

It is a tradition at Brown Ink to present our clients with a christmas gift each year. For the 2010 christmas the team developed the "Clinkables" package. These addictive magnetic balls were sent with a greeting card and christmas poem to our clients. We received feedback that productivity had dropped in some offices, but you can't say we didn't warn them.

Back to Basics Packaging

Back to Basics has been around for over twenty years, recently they sold off the wholesale component of the business. This major decision became the driving force to rebrand their current range in order to differentiate it from the wholesale range. The opportunity to revisit the original objectives of their 20 year old product showed that it had lost its way and moved into a visual area where it no longer represented what "Back to Basics" meant.

Loo With a View

This rebranding brief was much tougher than we imagined.  The Loo With a View toilet seat, is a niche product which sells very well. In the past the product had been seen as a novelty item, but as Loo With a View was discovering, their product was fitting into the desirable category for many customers.

Macadamia Nuts

The photography makes this packaging work, how could you resist the mouth watering chocolate coated roasted macadamias? When you contrast the product against the white or brown background mixed with embossing, the product simple whispers... eat me.

Rocky Road

Lets face it, Rocky Road is not the most attractive looking product. But when you strategically work with the Rocky Road ingredients of marshmellows, jelly, nuts and chocolate then you can create some very desirable images which will sell the product much more easily. So that is what we did, mixed with some flowing typography, the combination is a perfect match.

Stress O Matic

Every year the Brown Ink team develops a christmas gift we can give our clients and suppliers. The Stress O Matic was a simple idea which came about when we happened upon a pill shaped as a stress relief ball.  We decided to package the pill like they would have 100 years ago. With untold promises and a list of testimonials from the Brown Ink Team, dressed with matching period costume.  We had a lot of fun putting it together.
