Bohan Cleaning Service (BCS) provide a range of cleaning services to the commercial and industrial sector ranging from supermarkets, schools, factories and offices. The recently purchased business had no branding to speak of, offering Brown ink the rare opportunity of a clean design slate.
The objective of the logo was to communicate a strong corporate professional message that would appeal to the commercial and industrial markets. BCS was keen to break away from the "one man band" perception of the cleaning industry. Another important consideration was not to convey one type of cleaning through the logo as BCS offer a range of cleaning services. A more lateral approach was required to convey cleaning without necessarily illustrating a mop and bucket.
Brown Ink’s solution was to create a simple logo with emphasis on the word Bohan. The logo was inspired by a unique constant in the cleaning process; liquid and water. Water droplets were used to form the icon and ‘a’ in the word Bohan. The icon also doubles as a gleam which ties in well with the slogan Brown Ink also developed for the business “Making your business shine”.
The colour palette was kept simple and fresh utilising blues and greens to allude to the environmental considerations of the business.
This simple approach was also adopted across the stationery with the idea of keeping it as uncluttered as possible to give a further sense of clean. The rounded top corner of the business card and footer of the letterhead reflect the rounded shapes in the logo and add a nice finishing touch to a minimalist design.
